Girls addiction, I'm guilty -.-

A girl can mix and match their outfits, fashion is your own style.
No one can judge 'coz it is always a reflection of your personality.
but a girl will soon realize that accessories are important and becoming more and more important everyday.
It's like a secret recipe in your specialty.

And they finally arrived! An addition to a funky collection.
Check it out:
new set of vintage necklaces.

and set of bracelets. studs/skull/spikes/leather/gold/diamonds/neon/etc..
and you know what that means, arm party. haha

leather cuffs, 2 finger rings and a 3 finger one.

Aside from this babies, 44 pairs of earrings arrived as well. I will post them soon, I just have to make a DIY organizer for these newbies.
I am selling them but if they are meant to stay with me, then I'll be more than happy to add them in my collection. haha

WAWA Adventure in Montalban, Rizal

We've decided to visit Wawa Dam coz' of the extreme heat the night after
boozing up with Gen's siblings.
My last visit was i think 20 years ago and Wawa is way better than before.
And they are planning to make this a tourist spot by October.

the signage that it will soon be one of tourists destination

 start of the long walk.

To get to the dam, it will require you to walk and trek a bit. It took us 20mins to get there.

Look at that mountain at the back of Gen, it's just so lovely and  I wish it will stay as is. A lot of quarrying is happening in the area, I just hope that we'll not ignore such acts not until the beauty will all be gone.

The Bernardo Carpio twins.

There is a local myth about this two mountains. It is said that Bernardo Carpio, a giant man has been imprisoned and trapped between two rocks of wawa dam.
and as a proof, locals said that his hands have been imprinted on the rocks.

GREEEEN! It's good for every one's eyes.
let our next generation see it's beauty and experience it as well.
PRESERVE and let's LEARN to PLANT TREES.

Riza.

As we were trying to surpass the rocky roads going to the dam.

a tunnel that we saw along the way, it's creepy inside that we do not dare to explore its unrevealed mystery. choz! >.<

You can shout your lungs out, You are not prohibited to do this in here.

as we walk to the valley of the shadow of death. @.@

Who will imagine that there is beauty in the end zone of Montalban Rizal?
If you are looking for a 100% pollution free impromptu getaway, it's just lying in the deep end of Rizal.
You just have to dare yourself, explore and it will be worth it.
And we're not even there yet.

Beside from the rocks and all, this bridge really challenged me. One wrong move and you're out.
Look at those big rocks that might be waiting for that wrong move.
you just have to be really careful in passing this DIY bridge.

we found our cottage.
You can rent a cottage for just 150php or you can try your haggling skills to lessen the price.
You can stay as long as you want.

YEY! Time to ENOY!

 Here we are!
Instead of going to malls and air-conditioned establishments to fight the heat of summer, this will be an alternative solution. Sometimes, we have to get in touch with nature, chill, relax, appreciate the beauty from up above.
If you can't take the noise and crowd of Manila, try finding your secret garden where you can hang out and chill together with your loved ones. It will all be worth it for sure.

check out the pictures below.. Isn't it fun-tabulous and relaxing?
Imagine how happy you can get with the water throwing you away plus you'll get to have a back massage that you've been wanting to have for a long time.
Thanks to my mow-dels. >.<

Just me cam-whoring with the perfect background and my "mow-dels".

Look at that sunshine! It makes me alive.

Too bad we're not able to climb that tower in the picture due to lack of time. But this will not be my last time in wawa and I will surely blog something about that tower in my next visit..

It is said that there are also caves that you can visit in the area, you can ask the locals and the person in charge about the details.

Here are the others

I so love this shot!
Thanks to your rihanna-inspired look cheng!
Thank you for being my model of the day.
:)

The Big White Rocks at my back supposed to be the highlight of this shot.. I dunno what happened.

They are this BIG.
This is the ones they get to produce marmol stones for structure building.

As I lie down on our cottage bench to rest, this is what I saw.
PRETTY SUNLIGHT.

And yes, you can grill. But let's all clean as we go.

We left wawa at 4pm, we've got to alot enough time trekking, it will be too hard for us if we'll do it at night.
'bye for now wawa!
I hope you'll get better and better, will expect that in my next visit.
Let's support the project by visiting the area once in a while.

:)

It's more fun in Palawan!

"Puerto Princesa Palawan"

Puerto Princesa Domestic Airport

Touchdown! 1hr and 15min air travel is totally worth it.
Locals in the area says that Palawan is 100% crime free rate, maybe because this province has a lot of islands so if you're thinking of violating the law, better think twice coz I don't think you can get out that easy.

Pilar's Pension House Inn

This is where we stayed for 5 days. Staff are accommodating, nice and friendly. When you first meet nice people when you are in other part of the Philippines , it gives you peace of mind and for me, first impression may not always last but it will give a big impact on your stay.

They also offered us tour packages.

On our first day, we've got Underground River tour with buffet lunch for 1.5k / person.
They are the ones who fix everything like government permit, food, transportation, boat ride, etc.. all we have to do on the next day is to wake up ON TIME which we even fail to do.
waaaah! LATE! the van is waiting and we're still not ready. NAY for the start of our morning.
Well, we have no choice but to move on and of course, enjoy!

arrival to Sabang Port (underground river jump off point).

If you did not book a tour before hand, this is where you have to register.
(make sure you have an environmental entry permit or else you cannot enter, they are very strict with this.)

Welcome to Underground River.

I am and will always be in love with BIG beach rocks.

then we have to walk along this forest to get to the river.

the actual subterranean river before we ride our bangka.

This is it! one word.. FABULOUS! a river in the heart of Puerto Princesa.
Therapeutic view it is!

we're about to enter the river

another group of tourists that we saw inside

the darkness and silence will neither calm you or freaks you out.

The subterranean river is over 8km in length but standard tour will only take about 1.5km into the river(roundtrip of 45mins).
This park features a spectacular limestone karst landscape with an underground river.

one of a thousand limestones inside the underground river.
STALACTITES and STALAGMITES inside.

STALACTITE
This is a calcium carbonate deposit like an icicle formed in caves by chemical precipitation from drips or thin films of water.
Stalactites (from the ceiling) are built up from many successive growth layers and almost always have pointed tips. Now, exactly why these deposits are left behind is sort of tricky.
Follow closely. As the drop of water hangs from the ceiling, it loses some of its carbon dioxide. This makes it less acidic. That means that it can't hold all of the dissolved minerals that it had picked up, on its way through the cracks above. The drop leaves a few crystals of the mineral calcite behind, and a stalactite begins to grow. Drop after drop, over hundreds and thousands of years, can end up leaving some big stuff! Our new cave is filling back in with rock from above, and tiny cracks up there are growing into more new cave!
STALAGMITES
When water containing dissolved limestone falls to the floor of a cave some of the calcite precipitates out. This build up of deposits forms a mound growing up from the floor. (StalaGmites are on the Ground.) Stalagmites take on a variety of forms, from tall, spindly "broomsticks" to broad, flat disks to ornate, multi-tiered towers . Shape is determined largely by drip rate, ceiling height, cave atmosphere conditions, and the carbonate chemistry of the drip water solution.

Along the way, our guide with the help of his spotlight, points out various features of the caves and what they call it.

end of our dark tour.

We are all hungry and waiting for the buffet lunch..

After lunch, we are offered to try their wood worm or "tamilok" for 100php. We took the challenge.
Yes it looks creepy and it taste disgusting. I just ate one then I gave up, it is really slimy and can't take another one.
Well, at least I tried. haha

"tamilok"

Gen is trying to swallow it all. Omy after eating one of those, I can still feel it in my system for long hours.

We've booked for a Honda Bay tour for the next day for 1.5k / person.
Our tour guide fetch us and we headed to the Honda Bay port.

view of Pandan Island from our bangka

touchdown Isla Pandan.

 PANDAN ISLAND.

This is the first island we took place. We stayed here for 5 hours, just beach bummin'
and this is where we ate our buffet lunch.

You'll enjoy the island's fine white sand and your PP visit will not be complete without a HONDA BAY beach hopping tour.

Meet our family for one day. They are with us all through out the day, same van, same tour guide, same boat, same lunch.
We are a combination of different races.

We consists of korean couple, russian couple, japanese couple and us filipino couple.

They are Russian and our favorite amongst them all.
Maybe because they are the only one who dares to speak English and they are the ones who are more clingy than the others. love 'em!

After Pandan Island, we have to hop to another island called Starfish Island.

STARFISH ISLAND.

Yes you can see a lot of starfishes in this island , you can hold 'em, touch and play with 'em, take pictures with 'em but leave 'em. Please do not take 'em home.

And you have to make sure that you have enough sunblock especially if you'll be hopping down on this less shade white sand island and so you can walk  to see it's true beauty.
However, is that in the shore, there are bits and pieces of shells that would wound you, it is still it's finest but better put your slippers on.

The island is not crowded, you can have your moment with the nature.
The water is so calm and the everything is just picture perfect.. so take your best shot!

A one day family of different human race.
It doesn't matter where you came from, doesn't matter what you believe into,
doesn't matter if your wealthy..
What matters is how you all can appreciate one beauty,
our NATURE.

mangroves in this side is a real FAB.

Before moving to the next spot which is supposedly the Snake Island but because of their monthly maintenance, the island is closed and we're not able to touchdown. Well, on the other hand, it's good that they are maintaining each island for everybody's sake. I took this chance dealing with nature.

I so love this picture.
It's just the sand, the beach, the sky and clouds, me and my shadow, and the little green plant in front of me. Where did it came from? that I can't tell.

This is the right time to communicate with nature, time to Recharge.
Time to leave all the bad energy inside you that came all the way from Manila. Right time to internalize, think what you want to do in life. Think of how you can do those things and think how you'll live not only to survive. There are a lot of things that only yourself and nature can understand and might give you solution and  soon made you think of the answers, sort of a YOGA I can say.
DEFINE,FIND SOLUTION, ACT.

our last stop - PAMBATO REEF

Snorkeling is what we did in Pambato reef. In the middle of the reef, a floating raft marks the location where tourists get off. You are free to snorke within the area. You'll enjoy the beauty of living coral reefs, school of fish and shells underwater.

 We obviously enjoyed so much..
You'll enjoy more if you'll take off your life vests and go under. Just be careful of the corals that you might step onto, you might ruin our natural resources and it will wound you as well. The guides are very meticulous on that part.

:)

End of our Honda Bay beach hopping.
We end up so tired BUT we've decided to watch the sunset at the Baywalk park and to have our dinner as well.

THE SUNSET.

HIM and the sunset.

To get there, just ride a tricycle for P8 per person and they'll take you to the park.
You'll not find any resto within the area, what we found are cheap trills (turo-turo) .
You also have to try this before leaving Palawan.. delicioso!

We woke up late the next day (as usual). As we are browsing on where to go on our last night in PP,
thanks to the pension house's dependable wifi connection, we found Kinabuchs bar and resto near our inn.
We hoped in a tricycab, ask the driver to take us there.. then it's just an easy 5-10min ride.

KINABUCHS Grill and Bar

I highly recommend this place! The food, the place, the ambiance ..perfecto!
We're not able to take pictures of the whole place coz we are focused on what to order, we're just so hungry that time.. so late for lunch and early for dinner..
>.<

After dinner, we finally ordered a drink (booze) and this resto got a billiards den that we can't resist to try. We ended up staying for hours to play billiards and booze around.
FUN night before we leave PP on the next day.

bye bye Puerto Princesa!

I just love this shot.
It leaves me positive energy while travelling back to Manila

Omy Manila..
Why you so crowded?

CEB. Our AIRLINE ever since our world begun.. haha  :)
