Invading Alegria, Cebu

Alegria is a 4th class municipality in the province of CebuPhilippines. It is approximately 3-4 hours drive from Cebu City. We stayed at Costa de Leticia Beach Resort as what you can see in the picture above. You'll pass by  a lot of municipalities before reaching Alegria, long wait is worth it as soon as you'll arrive at the resort.

I am fascinated with this cute little buses going to little municipalities of Cebu province. It is not an air-conditioned bus but better  as well ride one to enjoy the beauty of what's ahead of you.

this is on our way to Costa de Leticia Resort in Alegria

look who's with us along our way..

"I LOVE MY FREEDOM"
No need to explain further. Kuya's shirt really is something.. Everyone has this one thing or two things that they want to do in their lives, just not everyone has the courage to do so.
And there is one stage in our life where we can feel that calling, and if you've decided to take that path, it starts with our FREEDOM.

Another picturesque wall along our way. Rest in Peace PIDOL, you are and will aalways be THE KING of Philippine comedy.

This is the view from the terrace of our suite, very relaxing! And the best part is, we are the only guest so we feel like we own the whole resort, it's like a rest house for private members only.
I can describe the view, the weather, the ambiance as a
 MAN MADE PARADISE.

I guess the man by the pool is trying to make sure if the pool is perfect for us.. weeee great STAFF!
And me cam whoring with a relaxing background.

As what I always believe in ever since I was a kid..
HEAVEN is a little closer in a home by the water.
Excuse my haggard look plus an oily face, being in an ordinary bus for 3-4 hours will not make you presentable.. haha

Now who's the boss?
Dead tired as Gen is enjoying our queen size bed and mediterranean suite.

We've decided to go around Alegria to explore it's beauty and to satisfy our hungry stomachs.
Now Gen looks like a local..
This is what we love to hear from the locals, that we look like one as well.

As we're trying to be a local walking around the municipality..
We saw what we are actually looking for..
XI SHACK,
which we've heard to be a great place to booze around.

Look at that funky reggae look, if you are looking for a good place to chill when you're in Alegria,
then Xi Shack is a recommended place, the staff is as accommodating as Costa de Leticia's.
They are pure Cebuanos so they are having a hard time understanding Tagalog,
but at least they are trying and they can communicate.

I can now eat, long wait is over..
Happy stomach,  happy liver, happy kid!
:)

And this is the BEST TUNA SISIG ever..
We ordered another one, SARAAP e! ><

Trying to capture the beauty of this wooden resto-bar by the beach.
You'll love the wind as it blows into your face and
you'll be attracted wiith the "everything kawayan" theme of this resto-bar.
la la la la la

We came back to Costa and this mini bath tub is just perfect for my dead tired travel body
@.@

GOOD MORNING Alegria!!
Breakfast beside the pool with the sight of the beach is really inviting.

the mug surely knows the main reason why we're here... to REFRESH!

well then , now we'll go swimming.. ^_^
Give me a perfect T.A.N pleaaaase...

I love it here coz we're still the only guest. ^^
Time to enjoy, time to own, time to RELAX.

To make the right choices in life, you have to get in touch with your soul.
To do this, you have to experience solitude. which most people are afraid of,
because in the silence, you'll hear the truth and know the solutions.

ALEGRIA HERITAGE PARK

The Park is actually more attractive in actual than in photos..
It says that the Japanese used this stone structure to protect/guard their territory from intruders travelling through the sea.
Look for your soul, look for your happiness.. It's better if you'll look with a companion.

THIS IS A PERFECT SUNSET SHOT!
Yahooooo

MY PERFECT SUNSET SHOT

"There's no fun in a perfect life. So make a risk, take a chance. Go where the wind takes you.
Have fun. "

This will be the our 3rd day and last day in Alegria then we will be back in Cebu City for 2 days.
Bye for now A :)

========================================================================

ZUBUCHON.
Back at Cebu City.
Never leave Cebu without trying out their lechon, a pride of Cebu.

Btw, we stayed at Grand Prix Hotel which I will not recommend to you guys. A BIG NO NO when it comes to service, facilities, staff, poor wifi, rooms which we have to ask for assistance coz' the shower isn't working, I don't think they disinfect the rooms before letting guests came in. It looks like they're not doing a daily room maintenance. Being a big hotel in the city is not an excuse.. There are a lot of guests who might come back and definitely will not include you on their options. So instead of burning ourselves inside that hotel, we've decided to go out instead and burn our livers haha..

Silence Please. galit galit muna ><

Satisfy your bellys with their pride.

On our next day, We decided to go to SM Mall and watched a movie instead of staying in our hotel.
then we've met with a friend working here in Cebu, tried to eat at the famous Larsian Barbeque place.

that chorizo over there is the best one I've ever tasted. I don't mind eating 2 dozen of sticks haha.. Yum!

grilled squid with tanglad inside of it is not really my thing.. i'd go for chorizo OR a plain grilled squid without tanglad.. :)

If you're looking for a rice, this is what they'll serve you. In Cebu, it is called "puso" .

And if you're in Larisian barbeque place and your looking for spoon and fork, they'll give you a "transparent plastic" to cover your hands so that you can eat, as what you can see in this photo, eating puso and barbeque not in bare hands but in a transparent plastic.
You'll then notice everyone is doing the same thing, cute Cebuanos!

CLUB BAI

Sunburst Resto which is I think a Davao pride, now trying it in Cebu.

bye Cebu! 'til we meet again.. will visit more municipality in the future :)

pagod ngunit masayang uuwi.. >.<
